Greetings from the Pastor's Desk

We welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ!

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

At Canarsie Community Reformed Church, as we are witness The Power of God at Work: Realigning, Restoring, Reviving – the theme that guides our congregational journey in this season of renewal and hope we welcome you to come and engage with us.

As a congregation entering its 150th year of faithful ministry in Brooklyn (October 2026), we give thanks to God for His steadfast presence and faithful providence among us. As we anticipate celebrating our 150thYear Legacy of faithful ministry, we also look forward with great anticipation to another 150 years of serving as a lighthouse for Christ in this community.

As God calls us to strengthen existing ministries and embrace new ones, like Generation Spark Intergenerational Mentoring Ministry—launching this fall—where intergenerational biweekly gatherings will take place on Fridays at 6pm – our hope is to nurture faith and foster meaningful relationships across generations.

In hope and renewal, CCRC will continue to expand its Feeding Ministry, as we seek to support persons facing food insecurity and build out our Faith Formation initiatives where children, youth, young adults and seasoned seniors come together to grow in Christ through Bible Study and Prayer each Wednesday evening. In addition, we will gather each quarter for 6-hours of prayer time as we seek the Lord for revival in our church, community and the world together.

In the future, it is our hope to also provide Mental Health support and other ministry resources that minister to the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Through these efforts it is our hope that our commitment to being a church where people gather in love, grow in discipleship, and go forth to serve as witnesses of Jesus Christ will be evident.

That is why, dear visitor, we invite you to come with us on this journey. Whether you are seeking a place to worship, longing for deeper fellowship, or looking for ways to serve, know that there is a place for you here. Together, we will continue fostering a legacy of ministry that builds godly relations while pressing forward in faith, watching the power of God work in our midst.

May the blessings and peace of Christ be with you always,

In Christ’s Service,

Rev. Maudelin R. Willock, Pastor
