Greetings from the Pastor's Desk

We welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ!

A Word of Hope and Welcome

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As Canarsie Community Reformed Church moves toward the close of the first quarter of 2026, we do so with gratitude, reflection, and hopeful joy. We are also mindful that this year carries special meaning for us as we journey toward our 150th Anniversary celebration in October.

At times, the road of ministry can feel long. There are seasons when people grow weary, as the work seems to become heavy, and times when we wonder what the future will hold. Yet even in such moments, we are reminded that the Church belongs to Jesus Christ, who is faithful and who continues to sustain His people.

At CCRC, we may be few in number, but we are rich in faith and deeply committed to following Jesus Christ, and we believe the Lord still calls His Church to be present in the world with justice, compassion, mercy, and care. Our committed desire is to take up our cross daily and serve as Christ’s hands and feet to all who come through our doors and to those extended in the community around us.

In this Anniversary year, we acknowledge that this is not only a season to look back with thanksgiving, but also a season to look ahead with expectation. We believe that God is still writing the story of this congregation - still calling, still healing, still restoring, and still drawing people to Himself.

So whether you have been part of CCRC for many years, have been away for some time, or are simply looking for a place to learn more about Jesus Christ and grow in faith, we welcome you here. We invite you to come and worship with us, pray with us, and walk with us as we continue seeking the will of God for this season.

My prayer is that we move forward together with humble hearts, renewed strength, and steadfast hope in the One who has carried His Church through every generation.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Maudelin
