"Are you burdened? Jesus says, Come!" Matthew 11:28 ESV
A New Year’s Message from Rev. Willock (January 2025)
Beloved in Christ, as we step into a new year, we are invited to look beyond the horizon with hope, trusting the promise of God in Isaiah 43:18–19: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” Our Lord continues to unfold fresh opportunities, renew our faith, and draw us closer together in fellowship.
If you live in the neighborhood of Canarsie (11236), I warmly invite you to worship with us on Sundays at 11:00 AM. You are also invited to join our Thursday Bible Study at 7:30 PM as we explore Discipleship Essentials by Greg Ogden. The dial-in number is 339-209-6540. Please also check out our Events page to learn about new intergenerational activities we are planning to involve the community.
I pray that this season of your life be marked by a spirit of anticipation, prayer, and a willingness to embrace the new thing God is doing in our lives and in the world.
Wishing you a blessed and fruitful 2025, as we 'gather, grow and go,' making disciples in the weeks and months to come.

A Warm Welcome Awaits You!
O come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker! For he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your heart... (Psalm 95:6-8, ESV).
At Canarsie Community Reformed Church (CCRC), we understand that we are called out and separated as God’s peculiar people. As such, we believe worshiping God is our privilege and a fundamental commitment to our life as disciples of Jesus. We believe that the discipline of Worship is the best way to develop an attitude of holiness as we honor the sovereignty of God.
Here at CCRC, when we gather, our hope is to experience God, as we picture in our mind’s eye the Apostle John’s vision where the twenty-four elders gather around the great white throne, day and night singing Holy! Holy! Holy is the Lord, the all-powerful God, who was and is and is coming” (Revelation 4:8).
We gather for worship each Sunday morning, before God of the universe offering all of ourselves, confessing our sins, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16), praying, reading Scripture, and listening to the preaching of God’s Word. Acknowledging our worship, God assures us of his love, blesses us, empowers us with the Holy Spirit, and sends us out into the world to serve others.
We would love to have you join us this and every Sunday as we worship God together!
I look forward to welcoming you at Canarsie!
