"Are you burdened? Jesus says, Come!" Matthew 11:28 ESV
As Reformed people, we say we are “Reformed and always reforming.” What that means is that we never stop asking whether we are living faithfully to God’s vision of reforming the church to follow God’s will. The reason this is important is that we believe that human beings are broken and that our sinful nature can easily corrupt God’s church if we are not careful.
As Reformed people, we recognize Scripture as the highest authority of our faith and practice. Our Statements of belief called creeds and confessions shape our faith and root us in Reformed theology. While people often associate the Reformed tradition with Calvinism,[1]there is more to our Reformed beliefs than the five points of Calvinism you may have heard about.[2]
1 total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of the saints (aka TULIP).
