Our History

 The congregation known today as Canarsie Community Reformed Church can trace its roots back to 1876 when the Rev. John Conrad Dickhaut founded the Flatlands German Evangelical Church[1].
Over time, as the German language was discontinued, the congregation came to be known as Canarise Reformed Church - continuing to serve the community of Canarsie until May 31, 1998. Later the congregations of Canarsie Reformed Church and Christ Community Reformed Church merged to become  known as Canarsie Community Reformed Church.
